On 13 November, Energy Efficiency for Europe participated in the OpenBEP4EU consortium project meeting in Brussels, where partners aligned on shared priorities for the coming months. The discussions focused on the development and deployment of harmonised digital tools to support the implementation of the Energy Performance of Buildings Directive (EPBD).
The meeting offered a valuable opportunity to review recent progress on the project’s digital tools, including the calculation engine (kernel), and to explore how these outputs will contribute to improved building-performance assessment and wider uptake of Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs) in future.
The participants also advanced work on how Energy Service Companies (ESCOs) and financiers can better use EPCs to support renovation projects and unlock investment in energy efficiency more effectively.
