Energy Efficiency for Europe has joined the European Parliament’s Intergroup “Attracting Investment to ensure a competitive and sustainable EU” as an official partner for the 2024-2029 legislature.
The Intergroup brings together Members of the European Parliament, industry, financial actors and civil society to strengthen Europe’s investment environment and support the EU competitiveness agenda. Its work focuses on mobilising public and private capital towards strategic priorities including sustainable infrastructure, innovation, industrial transformation and the transition to a climate-neutral economy. Within this framework, the Intergroup aims to address barriers to investment and promote forward-looking policy solutions that reinforce Europe’s resilience and global competitiveness.
Participation in the Intergroup will enable engagement in its work programme and policy discussions on how to mobilise financing for sustainable infrastructure, industry and innovation.
As partner, Energy Efficiency for Europe represents the perspective of energy service companies (ESCOs) and advocates for the importance of energy efficiency in the EU’s competitiveness and decarbonisation agendas. Namely, the federation is committed to highlighting the role of performance-based energy services in delivering cost-effective decarbonisation, strengthening energy security and unlocking scalable investment opportunities across Europe.
